Sam was born in nearby Newark, but moved to Tom’s River in 1974 and spent the rest of his life there until he passed away on 2012.
Maybe Tom’s River’s most well known resident, certainly the most well known currently, is Todd Frazier. Sticking with the theme of baseball, the next famous resident from tom’s river is former MLB pitcher Al Leiter.
