New Jersey Chamber Singers – Silent Night: Experience the serenity of the silent night when the Baby Jesus was born. The Chamber Singers will be at the Christ Episcopal Church Saturday, December 16 from 8-10pm. You’ll hear carols and hymns that will tell of the mysterious wonder of the birth of the Christ. A Christmas Carol Dinner Show: This fun rendition of a Christmas Carol is presented by White Sands Banquets and Catering in Point Pleasant Beach on Saturday, December 16 from 7-10pm. You’ll be immersed into the world of Ebenezer Scrooge while you dine. Watch as the actors sing and dance around you with an added touch of comedy to the show. The lavish costumes and humor will bring a smile to your face as your celebrate the holidays.

Christmas Lantern Tours: Step back in time and learn about Christmas in 1836 at the Historic Village of Allaire. On Saturday, December 16 from 5-8pm you can walk through the lantern lit city sidewalks to hear music, history, and theatrics. There are outdoor and indoor activities to see. Make sure to dress warm for the weather. It’s not recommended for children under 5 because strollers are not permitted in the buildings.

Ice at the Pier: One of the oldest winter traditions for the holidays is ice-skating around the rink. You can skate by the sea on the pier from Thanksgiving to Presidents Day throughout the week. Make sure to check the schedule for special events or holiday hours. You can purchase tickets online or at McLoone’s Ticket Booth & Skate Shack during normal business hours. You can rent a pair of skates, but it is based on a first-come-first-serve basis. There are sizes from a Child’s 9 up to Men’s 13. After skating, walk around the beautifully decorated shops and restaurants for the rest of your holiday shopping!

Holiday Thingy: This one is a bit of a drive, but we have to mention it because it’s that good. The Mill Race Theatrical Company in Mount Holly presents a holiday comedy show unlike anything you’ve ever experienced. The show takes place on Saturday, December 16 from 7-10pm.  It’s a fun, relaxed atmosphere where you can interact with and hear professionals poke fun at all things December. All the money raised from this event will go towards helping a local non-profit in the local area.
